Rick Kyle has been in construction since the 1980s; first as a starter home builder, progressing upward in price and volume to his final year of just home building in 1998. He averaged 120 homes and $20 million in home sales each year from 1992 through 1998.

After a brief 18 month sabbatical in the Denver, Colorado area, Rick Kyle discovered the exciting construction niche of basement finishing in 2000. Rick joined The Finished Basement Company, the only dedicated basement design and finishing company known at that time, as sales manager. This was a very "high end" enterprise, with the average cost per square foot at or exceeding $45/sf. Over the next 9 months Rick grew monthly sales from $200,000 to $720,000 per month. This was long enough to recognize that the deepest market for this construction is in the $30-$35/sf range. To capture this market, Rick Kyle started The Basement Builders of Colorado, which he operated until 2005. He sold it and its $2 million a year sales stats and returned to Georgia.

Now back home, Rick gathered his experienced team of craftsmen and created two companies: The Basement Construction Company and BCC Builder Services. Up until 2007, Rick provided builder services such as asphalt roofing and exterior home painting to many area home builders through BCC. He simultaneously designed and finished over 100 basements in the Atlanta area through The Basement Construction Company. Now, with the rollback in home building, Rick is making these same quality tradesmen available to the residential homeowners.
